IONIA. Herakleia ad Latmon. Circa 140-135 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.55 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos above the foreparts of five galloping horses. Rev. HPAKΛEΩTΩN Club; below, Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand, between two monograms; all within oak wreath. Lavva, Silberprägung, Group II.B. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Lockett 2823. SNG von Aulock -. Beautifully toned. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with some flatness on the outer devices, otherwise, extremely fine.
